How it works

What to prepare
- Photo ID for you (and your spouse, if filing jointly)
- Social Security cards or ITINs for everyone on the return — bring them, don't email them
- W-2s, 1099s (NEC, MISC, INT, DIV, B, R, G), SSA-1099 and K-1s
- Form 1095-A if you had Marketplace (ObamaCare) coverage
- Mortgage interest (1098), property tax, student loan interest (1098-E), tuition (1098-T)
- Childcare costs with the provider's tax ID, and charitable receipts
- Last year's tax return, and any IRS or state letters
- Bank account and routing number for your refund

Do I have to come to the office?
No. Many clients upload documents, meet by phone or video and sign electronically.
Can you file for a state other than Virginia or Maryland?
Yes. We prepare returns for clients in every US state and for Americans living abroad.
How much does it cost?
It depends on your return. We'll tell you before we start — ask during your appointment.
What if I owe and can't pay?
File on time anyway. We'll go over IRS payment options with you.
